Cancer Center in Arizona Treats Breast Cancer with Non-Invasive Breast Brachytherapy Technique

Cancer Center of Northern Arizona, located in the scenic community of Sedona, is one of the latest breast cancer centers that has joined the family of AccuBoost users. The effort at this cancer center is spearheaded by David Beyer, MD.  He is assisted by Frank Rafie, DSc, the Chief Physicist. Frank is an AccuBoost veteran with previous exposure to the non-invasive breast brachytherapy technology.

In addition to delivering the boost phase of the external beam treatment, the Cancer Center of Northern Arizona will make the Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI) treatment option available to the breast cancer patients, especially to those that live at some distance from the site and have transportation challenges to receive extended daily treatments.
