AccuBoost touts results of Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI) trial

Advanced Radiation Therapy, creators of the AccuBoost Breast Brachytherapy technology, is pleased to embrace the results reported from an IRB approved prospective Phase II trial presented at the 2014 American Brachytherapy Society annual meeting.  Dr. Jarek Hepel of  Rhode Island Hospital reported on the results from this Non-Invasive Breast Brachytherapy (NIBB)  APBI study sponsored by Brown University Oncology Research Group using a 34Gy, 10 fraction protocol.  In summary, Dr. Hepel reported substantially less frequent and less severe toxicity to the skin and subcutaneous tissues.
