AccuBoost Technology to be presented at the American Society for Therapeutic Radiation and Oncology (ASTRO)

Sep 11, 2014

The AccuBoost Technology will have a substantial presence at the ASTRO conference this year (Sept. 14-17) in San Francisco. AccuBoost has a large booth (#218) on the main exhibition floor displaying current equipment and new product developments. Independent from the display of equipment on the exhibit floor, there will be a presentation by Dr. Jaroslaw Hepel of Rhode Island Hospital on Wednesday, September 17 (presentation 298) on “Non-Invasive Image-Guided Breast Brachytherapy (NIBB) to Deliver Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI): Analysis of Acute Toxicity and Early Outcomes”. NIBB is the generic description for the AccuBoost procedure. AccuBoost for monotherapy has captured significant interest in the recent months, as it is the non-invasive brachytherapy alternative to other APBI procedures – built around the convenience of the patient and around the preference and schedule of radiation oncologists.
