The AccuBoost applicators provide the means of delivering a localized treatment only to the volume of interest. The AccuBoost system is provided for non-invasive stereotactic brachytherapy of the breast, from two orthogonal axes. The applicators are made from tungsten in the form of half-cylinders. They are designed to receive the high intensity Ir-192 source from an HDR afterloader system.
